Are you interested in becoming a team member as a purchaser for powertrain components? Apply and join our high-performing and diverse purchasing team in a challenging and exciting business environment!
General Information
I am looking for a Purchaser for the Commodity group Powertrain Components within the department Powertrain & Chassis.
You will be part of a diverse and dedicated team of engaged purchasers with many different nationalities. We have a great team spirit, we believe in a climate where you can be yourself and diversity is a success factor where we treat everybody equally and with respect. The complete team is located and working from the Scania Purchasing office in Södertälje in a modern work office landscape.
Responsibilities
As a Purchaser, or as we call it, Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for a couple of segments within the commodity of Powertrain Components which involves extensive contact both inside and outside Scania. Within your commercial area, you will make new deals with both short- and long-term perspectives, always with capacity, quality, cost, and sustainability in mind.
You will be responsible for an x-ring including commodity, project, aftermarket, and quality, and coordinate the strategic work with all brands within the Traton group.
Your profile
We believe that you are passionate about the work as a purchaser and have 3-4 years of experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree. If you have previous experience from an automotive purchasing organization it’s an advantage.
We are looking for a person with a true commercial drive and a strategic mindset, with a good ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally, and who dares to challenge the current way of working.
You are well organized, enjoy a fast tempo, and can manage short-term actions without losing focus on achieving long-term objectives.
To thrive with us, we think you are a humble and solution-oriented team player. You need to be responsible, driven, and have a positive attitude. You should also be able to plan your work to ensure good delivery precision independently.
