Role/ Department:
Custody Oversight Team performs oversight on Delegated custody tasks. Among other functions, CO team submit periodic reports to the regulators in Luxembourg: The Banque Centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) and the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provides oversight on delegated custody functions
- Sound knowledge of custody regulations and functions
- Capable of working independently on Custody Oversight functions
- Support tasks related to on-site inspections of the Service Providers and Prime Brokers
- Performs periodic sample testing on delegated tasks
- Supports queries from committees members and/or management
- Assists other team members on operational activities
- Verifies that portfolio transactions of Income, Dividends, Corporate Actions, Trades are processed and settled per market standards, Identify exceptions/breaks and follow up with custody operational teams and management to ensure these are understood and addressed
- Prepares management Information Statistics and reporting
- Prepares, reviews and transmits custody activity reporting for Luxembourg regulators
- Keeps up to date team procedures
Skills/ Qualifications:
- A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred (preferably Custody or Oversight)
- Technical knowledge of the securities industry, its products and instruments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (VBA would be an asset).
- Analytical and problem solving skills are required / preferred
