An opportunity has arisen to contribute to the work of the Democracy Services & Advice Team, for a fixed term, eight month period. Working in a supportive, fun, team environment, you will undertake a range of duties including:
- attending formal meetings, and supporting civic functions
- advising elected members on the procedures, civic protocols, and Council policies
- meeting scheduling, and workshop management
- providing user and technology support to elected members
- performing general administration duties
- exploring and implementing processes improvements
The successful candidate will:
- work in accordance with multiple Government Acts and regulations
- be attentive to detail to ensure processes, tasks, and information is accurate
- have the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
- be able to work autonomously and use their initiative
- have strong problem-solving skills
- be able to adaptable when situation change
- have the ability to react to/interpret the Council's political environment
