The UCLA School of Dentistry seeks a Dental Assistant for Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Clinic. Responsibilities include chair-side assisting dentists (residents and faculty) with restorative dentistry procedures (amalgam/composite/crowns/bridges/Implant Dentistry), periodontal procedures (scale/root planning and surgeries), root canal procedures, biopsies, extractions (wisdom teeth, etc.), and setting up IV sedations for appropriate procedures. When not assisting, incumbent undertakes sterilization duties including washing dental instruments and equipment. Assist and or serve as backup for front office staff, one week a month front office rotation.
