What is the job like, really?
As a Senior Cloud Data Architect, you operate as a part of Vincit’s Core business unit by delivering and developing data solutions and services for our customers. In project-based work, you collaborate closely with our data and analytics teams, leveraging your expertise to transform data into valuable, actionable insights. Depending on the project, you might step into the shoes of a data solution architect, a lead consultant, or even a technical project manager, all with the same objective - to transform data into meaningful, actionable insights.

Here's a snapshot of what your day might look like:
- You'll design and deliver data solution projects tailored to our customer's needs. These could range from strategizing data architectures and platforms to conceptualizing and modelling data structures.
- You'll contribute to our sales meetings, using your expertise to help shape our service offerings and strategies. Your insights here are invaluable, as they help align our services with the needs of the market.
- You'll be a beacon of knowledge for our technical teams. Your experience and understanding will guide them as you take on the role of a mentor, equipping them with the skills and understanding they need to excel in their roles.

What are we looking for?
To excel in this role, we are looking for a professional who combines a strong technical background with a solid understanding of the business landscape. A person who embraces the significance of data cherishes problem-solving, and nurtures their skills in project management. A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment but is also confident working independently. Above all, someone who communicates effectively, has a passion for mentoring others, and appreciates the importance of data governance.
Some of the key attributes we're seeking include:
- Solid experience in Data & Analytics solutions and architectures
- Expertise in modern data platforms and technologies (e.g. Azure, Synapse, Snowflake, SAP HANA)
- Mastery of data warehousing and modelling methodologies and associated tools (e.g. Data Lakehouse, Databricks, Data Mesh, Data Vault)
- Experience in project management and workshop facilitation
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills in Finnish and English
- Understanding and experience in data governance within companies
